- Eligibility
- Tournament is open to active PJSA members whose membership is current at the start of the tournament.
- Participants may enter as individuals who may fish aboard any boat, or enter their boat, which covers all anglers fishing aboard their boat.
- Anglers who enter their boat are automatically entered as an individual as well, allowing them to fish as an individual aboard other boats.
- Tournament Dates and Fishing Range
- Tournament runs from October 1 through December 31.
- Fishing expeditions must begin and end out of a New Jersey port.
- Boats may fish anywhere as long as they are within 3 nautical miles of the coast, and remain consistent with state fishing regulations.
- Scoring
Only striped bass may be entered.
- Scoring will be based on a "stringer of three" striped bass, an will be based on total length for the three fish. Length will be measured in straight nose-to-fork.
- Photos of released fish are mandatory.
- Photos or weigh-in slips (with length data) are required for dead fish.
- Awards
- There will be a striped bass trophy awarded to the top angler, that must be either defended or returned to the club during the following year's contest.
- Worst showing award: There will be special recognition for the boat and crew finishing in last place.
- Note: There will be no cash awards presented by PJSA.
- Entry Fees
- Entry fee for this tournament is $15 per angler, or $30 per boat.
- Captain's Meeting
- A captain's meeting will be held prior or shortly after the start of the tournament. Location to be determined. If a boat's captain is unable to attend, he or she may designate a crew member to represent the boat at the meeting.
- Awards Ceremony
- The awards ceremony will be held at the first regular PJSA meeting during the following year.
