There are four basic steps to becoming a member of PJSA.
- Potential members complete a membership application and submit it
either by mail, fax it to one of
the PJSA officers, or bring it to the next
meeting.
- PJSA's membership committee will review the application. If the
applicant meets basic entry requirements, the membership committee
will assign the applicant a sponsor if one was not already identified
on the application.
- After attending a minimum of 2 meetings, and spending time fishing
with the sponsor member, the member-candidate will be considered for
formal membership by the membership committee.
- Upon acceptance of the application and payment of the membership
fee, the candidate will be assigned associate membership status for
a period of one year, or until the start of PJSA's next fiscal year,
whichever is longer. Upon the start of the club's next fiscal year,
associate members with one year or more of participation are reconfirmed
by the membership committee, and if remaining with the club, are promoted
to full member status.
